Siemens / Voltage dependent overcurrent protection (ANSI 51V) _ Setting & highlights _ SI5032

Table of Contents

Overview

The “Voltage dependent overcurrent protection” function detects short circuits affecting electric equipment. It can be used for special network conditions where the overcurrent pickup level should be decreased depending on the fault voltage, and for generators where the excitation voltage is derived from the machine terminals and the overcurrent pickup should be kept depending on the fault voltages.

For more detailed information on “Voltage dependent overcurrent protection” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
