Siemens / Reverse power protection (ANSI 32R) _ Setting & highlights _ SI5085

Table of Contents

Overview

The “Reverse power protection” monitors the motor operation of generators and thus detects driving-power failure. It prevents endangering the turbine (e.g. the turbine-blade damage due to overheating) by opening the circuit breaker of the system, and protects a turbo-generator set.

For more detailed information on “Reverse power protection” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
