Overview

The “Rate of voltage change protection” function can be used to prevent the system from not secure states caused by unbalance between the generated and consumed active power, detect a network island state, advanced load-shedding applications and detect a rather fast voltage change related to a fault in the power system.

For more detailed information on “Rate of voltage change protection” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
