Siemens / Power plant disconnection protection (ANSI 37 (-dP)) _ Setting & highlights _ SI5084

Table of Contents

Overview

The “Power plant disconnection protection” function detects external short circuits in the vicinity of the power plant (line, busbar) and opens the high-voltage circuit breaker if the fault duration is long. It also protects the stator winding from excessively long short-circuit current stress.

For more detailed information on “Power plant disconnection protection” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
