Overview
The “Overvoltage protection with positive sequence voltage” function is used to detect symmetric stationary overvoltages and supervise the voltage range if the positive-sequence voltage is the decisive quantity
Unbalanced overvoltages, for example, caused by ground faults and unbalanced faults, are not detected due to the evaluation of the positive-sequence voltage.
For more detailed information on “Overvoltage protection with positive sequence voltage” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
