Overview
The “Hot spot calculation” function protects the transformer against thermal destruction at increased operating currents and monitors the thermal state of the turns. The main use of this function is monitoring the temperature of the turns in the transformer.
For more detailed information on “Hot spot calculation” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
