Overview

The “External tripping of a busbar section (from bay)” function makes it possible to connect a command to externally trip a busbar section, for example, from an external CBFP device. The function incorporates this
external command into the busbar protection. The busbar protection evaluates the disconnector image to determine which bays are connected to the affected busbar section.

For more detailed information on “External Tripping Busbar Section (from Bay)” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
