Overview
The “Arc protection” function detects arcs in air-insulated switchgear parts without delay and in a fail-safe way, limits system damage through instantaneous high-speed tripping, protects systems from thermal overload, increases safety of personnel, trips in a 3-pole way, and is suitable for use in all voltage levels.
For more detailed information on “Arc protection” function, refer to SIPROTEC 5 devices, V8.30 & higher manuals.
